Shelley Watts made history after she claimed Australia’s first female boxing gold medal at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games in the lightweight division.

From the small town of Laurieton in NSW, the 27-year-old says she has always been heavily supported by the locals – even throwing her a street parade after she returned from Glasgow.

Watts joined our host Dave Culbert on the podcast to discuss the highs and lows of her boxing journey this far.
