Q3: How did you get involved in your sport?

I was recovering from surgery during the 2012 Paralympics so I watched it for the first time.

I came across a profile about an athlete competing and it inspired me to want to get involved. I went online and discovered the sport of para triathlon. When I had recovered from surgery I started training.

Q4: How often do you train a week & when do you get time off during the year?

We train seven days a week

Q5: Do you have a special routine or superstition before competing?

I don’t think so, I just like to go over all my equipment when it’s set up in transition and make sure everything is how I want it.

Q6: Favourite sport – outside of your own?

Q7: Do you follow a particular diet?

I try to eat well and follow what’s been suggested to me to best support training and recovery.

Q8: Have you overcome serious injury or other set-backs?

I’ve had a lot of set backs but I think they come with sport. They’re what keep you honest and hungry to better yourself.

Q9: What about GC2018 excites you?

I was born on the Gold Coast, am a proud Queenslander and have a lot of friends and family around.

I’m looking forward to the opportunity of potentially competing in what would be a home race for me.
