EPISODE 32: Jessica Trengove

Marathon runner Jess Trengove’s country upbringing created a love for sport and a platform to take it to the next level, now evident in her and her sibling’s careers.

Growing up in Naracoorte South Australia, Jess, sister Abby and brother Jack indulged in all sports. Abby was a state rower, at just 17 years old Jack was drafted to Melbourne Football Club and Jess set her sights on playing Netball for the Adelaide Thunderbirds, although still heavily involved in athletics.

Unfortunately for Jess her netball break never came, however a passion for long-distance running was ignited.

On this episode of Gold Coast Gold, Jess chats about advice from her brother, memories of Melbourne 2006 and her excitement on joining Team Australia at Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
