The carefully planned street routes for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth games (GC2018) road cycling and race walk events will showcase the City’s pristine southern coastline to the world like never before.

A global television audience of 1.5 billion will consume the best of the Gold Coast’s coastline, creek and hinterland during the three events.

On April 14 the cycling road race will take competitors on a challenging voyage through Currumbin, Currumbin Waters and Elanora whilst the course for the cycling time trial, to be held on Tuesday April 10, will be a longer route which also runs through Tallebudgera and Currumbin Valley.

The 20km race walk will take place on April 8, but will remain along the Currumbin esplanade in a 1km loop, providing both athletes and spectators with a stunning backdrop.

All three events are free, giving spectators front row seats to this once in a lifetime event.
