Caitlin Bassett

Caitlin Bassett (netball) is a goal shooter for the Australian Diamonds netball team who was a member of the gold medal winning side at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow before going on to win her second world championship gold in 2015 with the national side. Bassett was captain of the Diamonds at the Gold Coast 2018 Games where Australia won silver in a heart-stopping final against England. Awarded the Liz Elliz Diamond of the Year for 2015, Bassett was also voted as the World’s best netballer in the same year. A potent goal scorer, the Perth-born star has a career high of 55 goals in a 2016 match against the New Zealand Silver Ferns.
