The young swimming star is one of four recipients of the 2021/22 Kurt Fearnley Scholarship which will help support the young Para-athlete towards qualifying for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

It has been obligatory to hold Race Swimming at every Commonwealth Games. Over the years the Swimming program has changed considerably, with new events added at each Games.
In 2002 Para-Sport events were included in the Games and 2014 & 2018 saw six Para-Sport swimming events in the program.
The governing body for Swimming in Australia is Swimming Australia.
