Peggy Tunstall, along with her husband and long serving Secretary-Treasurer Arthur, was a mainstay for the Australian Commonwealth Games Association for nearly four decades.

Peggy provided tremendous administrative support to the Australian Commonwealth Games Association (ACGA) and amateur boxing in Australia.  From the early 1960’s right up until the late 1990’s, Peggy gave extensive honorary and paid service to the ACGA whilst Arthur was the Association’s Honorary Secretary-Treasurer from 1969-1998.

She provided administrative support on several Australian Commonwealth Games teams including team secretary at Christchurch 1974 and advance parties for Edinburgh 1986 and Victoria BC 1994.

In 1993, Peggy was awarded Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the ACGA and in 2000 the Australian Sports Medal.
