Diadora appointed official competition and training wear supplier for the 2018 Australian Commonwealth Games TeamThe Chief Executive Officer of Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA), Craig Phillips, is pleased to announce Diadora as the Official Competition and Training Wear Supplier for the 2018 Australian Commonwealth Games Team competing at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).

The 2018 Australian Team uniforms will be locally conceptualised and designed by Diadora in close consultation with CGA and their athletes.

Commonwealth Games Australia CEO Craig Phillips said he was pleased to have partnered once again with Diadora after a successful campaign in Glasgow in 2014.

“The feedback we received from our partner sports on the team uniform for 2014 was incredibly positive so we are pleased to have Diadora back on board for Gold Coast 2018.

“Outfitting a team of up to 450 athletes from 18 different sports is not an easy task, but with the experience of 2014, we are confident that Diadora will deliver our team a great uniform that our athletes will be proud to wear.”

GC2018 is set to be the biggest sporting event in Australia this decade and Diadora is excited to further its relationship with the Australian Commonwealth Games Team after being the Official Competition and Training Wear Supplier for the Australian team at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Diadora Australia Managing Director, Bill Tyson, said his team were proud to be involved with a world-class event and enthusiastic about the opportunities for Diadora resulting from the continued association with the Australian Commonwealth Games Team:

Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) Chairman, Peter Beattie AC, welcomed Diadora to the GC2018 sponsor family.

With GC2018 set to be the most sustainable Commonwealth Games ever held, Diadora is working closely with GOLDOC and the CGA to develop, design and produce a unique and innovative polo shirt that is made of 50% recycled plastic bottles to illustrate the Team’s commitment to a sustainable Games.
