Akeesha competes in athletics and currently represents Hills District Athletics Club in South Australia, having started when she was 8 years old. Her recent achievements include breaking the U20 Australian Record and claiming gold in both the 100m and 200m at the All School National Championships. At the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, Akeesha competed in the women’s T38 100m event, collecting a bronze medal. Her aspirations include representing Australia at the Paralympics and the open Australian record.
