Alana Boyd

Alana Quade (Boyd) (athletics) won gold in the pole vault at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and defended her title four years later in Glasgow. A three-time Olympic who placed fourth at the Rio Games, Boyd set a national record in 2016 with a leap of 4.81m, she is also a four-time national champion. Alana comes from a sporting family, with her mother Denise Boyd (Robertson) representing Australia at three Commonwealth Games as a sprinter who won two gold medals, and her father Ray, who was also her coach, also competed in three Games and won the pole vault in Brisbane in 1982. Denis and Ray also competed at the Olympic Games. Brother Matt competed in the pole vault at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
