Alana King

Alana King (T20 cricket) was a surprise call-up to the Australian team during the 2021-22 summer, earning her debut caps in T20, Test and one-day international cricket in the space of just 14 days. Her wicket-taking efforts were crucial to Australia’s winning campaigns at the Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022, and the Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2023.

The star spinner originally played for Victoria and the Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League before moving to Western Australia to seek out more game time.

Alana’s father and mother were both born in India and migrated to Melbourne before Alana and older brother Marc were born and she has been a fan of the Carlton Football Club as far back as she can remember.
