Anthony Jordan

Anthony Jordan (athletics) missed the final of the men’s 100m T47 by just one place as the youngest male athlete on the Australian athletics team at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. It was the first overseas trip for the Aquinas College Ringwood year 11 student whose time of 11.85 seconds was just a fraction outside his personal best (11.64) set the previous March.
Anthony was born with a congenital arm abnormality, leaving him with a shortened left forearm and no fingers or thumb on his left hand. Growing up he was a keen cricketer and aspired to play for Australia, but after finding a passion for athletics it became his sole focus. Aged 11, he was classified as T47 and had immediate success, finishing 4th in both the 100m and 200m as well as winning bronze medals in the long jump and 4x100m relay at the School Sport Australia Track and Field Championships in 2016.
Anthony is trained by Tony Marsh at the Doncaster Athletics Club in Melbourne.
