Anthony Jordan

Anthony Jordan (athletics) will be looking to be the first Australian to claim gold in the event as the youngest member of the athletics team when the 100m for T47 athletes makes its third Commonwealth Games appearance in Birmingham. Anthony was born with a congenital arm abnormality, leaving him with a shortened left forearm and no fingers or thumb on his left hand. Although he enjoyed cricket and Australian football as a junior, running was the place that he looked the most comfortable after joining Doncaster Athletics club while in Little Athletics. Anthony has notched up some impressive times since he first broke the 12-second barrier in January 2021. Not long after reaching this milestone, he claimed the Australian under-17 title. The Tony Marsh-trained runner has said his aim is to go to the Paralympics and looks on track to make that dream a reality.
