Ben Dowling (rugby 7s) had a break-out year in the 2021/22 season ahead of his Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham.

The talented outside back came up through rugby union nursery St Joseph’s College in Sydney and progressed through the NSW pathways including the Waratahs under-18s Academy. He showed his potential in the abbreviated format of the game during NSW’s win in the 2019 National Youth Sevens Tournament, winning the men’s player of the series.

Ben is studying at the University of Technology and plays fullback for Randwick in the Shute Shield.
