Benjamin Marr

Ben Marr (rugby 7s) made his Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham just three months after his debut for Australia in the Singapore leg of the 2021-22 World Rugby Sevens Series.

The exciting young utility back, who attended St Augustine’s College in Brookvale, came through the junior system at Sydney club Warringah where his dad Greg Marr is regarded as a local icon. Ben played colts in 2017, made his first-grade debut in 2018 and played for the Sydney Rays in the 2019 National Rugby Championship.

After an outstanding season for the Rats in 2020, Ben was named club captain for 2021 and was added to the Australian sevens’ program shortly after.
