Bilal Abdo (wrestling) represented Australia in the 96kg wrestling freestyle event at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games finishing fifth. Bilal and his younger brother Ali were introduced to wrestling by their father when they were six and five years of age. A promising young wrestler, Bilal saw injuries restrict him from competitions in his late teenage years, but rekindled his passion for wrestling in his 20s to win both state and national wrestling titles. His brother Ali Abdo represented Australia at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and a three-time Olympian.
