Bill Devenish

William ‘Bill’ Devenish (swimming) won two gold and a bronze medal at the 1970 Edinburgh Games. A member of the winning 4x100m and 4x200m freestyle teams, Devenish won his bronze medal as part of a clean sweep for Australia in the 100m freestyle behind teammates Michael Wenden, who was also his training partner, and Greg Rogers. The 4x200m team of Wenden, Rogers, Graham White and Devenish broke the world record in winning gold at the Edinburgh Games.
