Bill Ronald
William ‘Bill’ Ronald (fencing) competed in epee and foil events at the 1968 Mexico Olympics and 1970 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games. Inspired to take up the sport after watching ‘Zorro’ on television, Ronald became fascinated by swordplay. After his own fencing career which saw him win seven Australian titles, Ronald went on to enjoy a successful coaching career including being a member of the fencing coaching staff at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Ronald is a life member of Australian Fencing.
