Brandon Copeland
Brandon Copeland (triathlon) will make his Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham. Copeland had been in various Australian under-age squads before making the transition into the senior ranks a few years ago. However, he lost the first half of the 2017 season to a wrist injury but was able to make his World Triathlon Series debut during that year. One of his best performances came in the International Triathlon Union event at Mooloolaba, where the Gold Coast-based athlete came second behind Canada’s Tyler Mislawchuk. Coached by Dan Atkins, Copeland sits just outside the top 30 in the world rankings and is studying for a Bachelor of Commerce at Griffith University.
