Brandon Copeland
Brandon Copeland (triathlon) made his Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham where he finished 22nd in the men’s individual event. Copeland had been in various Australian under-age squads before making the transition into the senior ranks in 2015. However, he lost the first half of the 2017 season to a wrist injury but was able to make his World Triathlon Series debut later that year. One of his best performances came in the World Cup event at Mooloolaba in 2019 where the Gold Coast-based athlete came second behind Canada’s Tyler Mislawchuk. Coached by Dan Atkins, Copeland is studying commerce at Griffith University.
