Chelsy Wayne

Chelsy competes in athletics and currently represents Athletics Wollongong, having started when she was 4 years old. Her most recent sporting achievements include winning bronze in discus at the Australian Open Championships and being the youngest person in 41 years to win the NSW Opens. In a tight competition, Chelsy threw 49.39m on her final attempt at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games to take the gold medal position with one thrower left. She would have to settle for the silver medal after her South African opponent bettered her throw by just 14 centimetres. Her aspirations include representing Australia at World Championships and other international events, as well as winning gold at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
