Clancy competes in swimming and currently represents Marion Swimming Club, having started when he was 6 years old. His recent achievements include winning silver in the 200m backstroke, bronze in the 400m individual medley and bronze in the 200m butterfly at the Australian Age Championships, as well as being a B-Final Finalist at the Swimming Australia World Championships Trials. Clancy competed in backstroke, butterfly and individual medley events at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, and was part of the mixed 4x100m medley relay that won bronze. His aspirations include medalling for Australia, making a final at the Swimming Australia Olympic Trials, and making an Australian Open team.
