Daniel Beale

Daniel Beale (hockey) is a triple Commonwealth Games gold medallist and has played over 200 games for the Kookaburras.

The midfielder was a member of Australia’s gold-medal winning hockey 5s at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore and captained the Australian under-21 team (the ‘Burras’) at the Junior World Cup in 2013 before breaking into the Kookaburras team shortly afterwards, making his senior debut against India. He was also part of the 2016 Rio Olympics and the silver-medal winning side in Tokyo in 2021.

Daniel began playing with his brothers but cites the 2004 Olympic gold medal-winning Australian team in Athens as inspiration for who he wanted to become as a player.

Daniel works for global construction company Multiplex.
