Daniel Clark

Daniel “Danny” Clark (cycling) won a silver medal in the 4000m individual pursuit at the 1970 Edinburgh Games at just 17-years-old. Clark won five world titles on the track, and a silver medal in the 1 kilometre time trial at the 1972 Munich Olympics. In the days of amateurs and professionals, Clarke turned professional in 1973, forgoing his eligibility to compete at the 1974 Games in Christchurch despite being selected. The Tasmanian was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 1987 and Cycling Australia Hall of Fame in 2018.
