Daniel competes in athletics and currently represents Byron Bay Runners, having started when he was 8 years old. His most recent achievements include winning gold in the U18 800m and 1500m races at the 2023 Australian Athletics Championships and in 2022, breaking the Australian U16 1500m record in a time of 3:49.74. Daniel was Australia’s only entrant into the men’s 1500m race at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games. He finished fourth in a stellar time of 3:45.91 in a race that saw the top three competitors better the Commonwealth Youth Games Record. His future aspirations include representing Australia at the highest levels and inspiring younger athletes, especially those from the country.
