Daryl Perkins

Daryl Perkins (cycling) competed in the 1966 Kingston and 1970 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in track cycling events. In Kingston, Perkins won the bronze medal in the sprint. After winning the 1964 Australian title in the tandem along with 1956 Olympics and 1958 Cardiff Commonwealth Games gold medallist Ian Browne, Perkins competed in the event at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Daryl’s son, Shane won Olympic bronze in London in 2012, two world titles, and gold at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games in the individual sprint, and bronze at both the 2006 Melbourne and 2014 Glasgow Games in the team sprint.
