Dave Chettle (athletics) is a former long-distance runner that competed in the marathon at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton and also at the Montreal Olympics in 1976. He has an impressive personal best of 2:10:20 coming second at the Fukuoka Marathon the preceding year. He placed eighth in the Boston Marathon in 1981.
