Delta Amidzovski
Delta (athletics) currently represents Athletics Wollongong, having started when she was 3 years old. Her most recent sporting achievements include winning the 110m hurdles in a record time of 13:02sec at the 2023 Australian Athletics Championships, while also taking gold in long jump with a jump of 6.21m, her 5th consecutive year winning both the events. In 2023, Delta made history by smashing Sally Pearson’s 20-year-old under-18 100-metre hurdles record with a time of 13.03sec. Selected for the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, Delta entered both the women’s 100m hurdles and long jump competitions. The youngster set a new Commonwealth Youth Games record in the long jump of 6.34m and comfortably won the hurdles event to secure two golds. She aspires to compete in the 2024 World U/20 Athletics Championships, and ultimately, an Olympic Games.
