Diana Rickard
Diana van Hamburg (Rickard) (swimming) won a bronze medal at the 1970 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in the 200m individual medley and also competed in backstroke events. Also competing for Australia at the 1968 Mexico Olympics, Rickard’s husband Roger van Hamburg swam for the Netherlands at the Munich Olympics in 1972. Their daughter Sasha married swimmer Adam Pine, a four-time Commonwealth Games representativewho recited the Athletes’ Oath at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
