Dillon Chambers
Dillon Chambers (table tennis) made his Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham where he contested the men’s singles, men’s doubles with Chris Yan and was part of the men’s team event. Dillon began playing table tennis as a toddler, sitting on the table before he started using a small exercise trampoline. Given the nickname “Kid Dynamite” in his teenage years in Mildura, Dillon moved away from his family to Melbourne when he was 14 to further his table tennis development. He represented Australia at two Junior World Championships (2014 & 15), as well as the 2019 Commonwealth Championships. Dillon took bronze in the under-21 men’s singles at the 2018 Australian National Senior and Junior Championships. He moved to Germany in September 2020, playing in the Bundesliga to gain more top-flight competition and was 6th on the Australian rankings at the end of 2021. He is righthanded and uses a shake hand grip and says that Trent Carter and David Powell are his favourite players.
