Dom Du Toit
Dominique du Toit (rugby 7s) was one of four members of the Australian women’s squad who returned for their second Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022 where they upgraded to gold after winning silver on the Gold Coast four years earlier.
Du Toit was born in Zimbabwe and moved to Queensland with her family at a young age where she attended Fairholme College in Toowoomba with Emilee Cherry. She first represented Australia at the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing where she scored eight tries, including three in the final to help Australia to the gold medal. The following year, she competed at the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea (silver) and the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa (gold).
The lightning-quick winger made her senior debut for Australia at the 2016 USA Women’s World Sevens Series in Atlanta and travelled to Rio as a reserve on the Olympic team, but had to wait another five years for her Olympic debut in Tokyo where the team reached the quarter-finals.
Dom has a Bachelor of Media and Communications from Macquarie University in Sydney.
