Don Fraser

Don Fraser (rowing) won a gold medal as a member of Australia’s cox four crew at the Sydney 1938 British Empire Games. Fraser was 23-years-old when he competed at Sydney, but went on to become one of the most decorated rowers in Australian history. A 17-time West Australia state champion, Fraser steered WA’s victory in the 1938 King’s Cup rowing regatta, Australia’s blue riband annual rowing race for men. A life member of Rowing WA, Don Fraser was instrumental in developing the rowing program at Perth’s Christ Church grammar school.
