Emily Kate Meaney

Emily Meaney (diving) was the only Tasmanian on the diving team in Birmingham where she finished 5th in the 10m individual event at her Commonwealth Games debut. Born in Hobart, Emily moved to Brisbane in 2011 when she was still at school to further her diving career before going to the US in 2016 to attend Purdue University in Indiana. She was a member of the Purdue diving team between 2016 and 2021. In between, Meaney represented Australia at the World University Games in 2017 and 2019. Emily completed her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics, from Purdue in 2021 and is now undertaking a Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland.
