Gemma competes in netball and currently represents Brisbane North Cougars, having started when she was 10 years old. Her most recent achievements include being named to the U17 Australian Netball Squad, being a member of the QLD U17 Team that won the Australian Netball Championships and being part of the Sapphire Series Cougars Netball Team. Gemma was part of the gold-medal winning Fast5 netball team at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games. She nabbed three intercepts in the group stage game against hosts Trinidad and Tobago as the team became the first in history to take out the shorter, faster version of traditional netball at a Commonwealth Youth Games. Her aspirations include playing in the Suncorp Super Netball and representing Australia at the Netball World Cup.
