Graham Windeatt

Graham Windeatt (swimming) made his debut for Australia at the 1970 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games where he won the gold medal in the 1500m freestyle in a Commonwealth record time. Two years later at the 1972 Munich Olympics, Windeatt won silver in the 1500m freestyle event. In 1971, swimming at the NSW Combined High School Championships, Windeatt set a world record for the 880 yards freestyle. Finishing his career at the 1976 Olympic Games, Windeatt was chosen as Australian swimming team captain.
