Helen Boardman

Helen Boardman (lawn bowls) will make her Commonwealth Games debut as a vision-impaired bowler and will team up with 2018 gold medallist Jake Fehlberg in the B2-B3 mixed pairs. Peter Doherty will be Helen’s director. Helen was runner-up at the 2021 Queensland Multi-Disability Championships in Mackay, eventually losing to Brandon Smith and her Birmingham partner Jake Fehlberg. She was named in a squad to tour the UK in May 2022 as part of the mixed pairs group after being part of the Commonwealth Games training camp and selection trial in January at Tamborine Mountain Bowls Club in Queensland. Helen celebrated her 60th birthday on that UK tour, where she made her international debut.
