Jade Lucy

Jade Lucy (swimming) finished seventh in the 200m freestyle S14 in Birmingham in 2022, the first time the event was held for women at the Commonwealth Games.

Jade, who has an intellectual impairment, grew up in Engadine in Sydney’s south and began swimming when she 14 under Gavin Stewart at SLC Aquadot. She claimed five gold medals at both the 2015 and 2017 INAS (International Federation for Athletes with Intellectual Impairments) Global Games and was named captain for the 2019 event in Brisbane. She was also selected for the Australian team for the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships.

Jade works in aged care and wants to become a midwife.
