Joanna Weston

One of the game’s most consistent and reliable defenders, Jo Weston (netball) clocked up her 50th international cap during the Diamond’s Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games gold-medal winning campaign. She was also a member of the squad that won silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Jo, who made her debut for the Diamonds against New Zealand in 2015, started in the juniors with the Waverley District Netball Association in Melbourne when she was 10. After playing at the Monash University club, she made her debut with the Melbourne Vixens in 2014 and has since played over 100 games for the club. The 188cm defender was named Vixens Player of the Finals in 2017 and won premierships with the club in 2014 and 2020. Weston. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is now doing a Masters’ of Communication at Deakin University.
