Jodie Henry

Jodie Henry (swimming) won a total of seven medals, with four gold, across competitions at the Manchester 2002 and Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. After bursting onto the scene at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Edinburgh in 2000 where she won five gold medals, it was in Manchester in 2002 where the Australian Dolphins star won the 100m freestyle and was on the winning 4x100m freestyle and medley relay teams. A three-time champion from the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Henry won gold in the 100m freestyle and two relay events – all in world record time. In 2005, she was the reigning Olympic, world and Commonwealth champion for the 100m freestyle. A member of the gold medal winning 4x100m freestyle team in Melbourne in 2006, Henry also won silver in the 50m and 100m freestyle. She was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 2014.
