Judy Nyirati

Judith ‘Judy’ Nyirati (Richards) (badminton) competed for Australia in singles, doubles and mixed doubles at the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in 1970 and again at the Christchurch Commonwealth Games in 1974. From Geelong, Victoria, Nyirati was the Australian singles champion in both 1969 and 1970. Nyirati has a House named in her honour at Moolap Primary School alongside champion cyclist Russell Mockridge, equestrian legend Bill Roycroft and test cricketer Ian Redpath.
