Bendigo Bank Spirit, Bendigo, Australia

Why did you begin your sport?

I started playing basketball when I was cut from the soccer team I tried out for because my coach told me I was too slow to play soccer.

Do you have any pre-competition routines or rituals?

I don't have any pre-game rituals, but if I can have a peanut butter and banana or peanut butter and jelly sandwich I definitely will.

What is your most memorable sporting achievement?

This is a tough one because when you've been playing for as long as I have what becomes important changes over the years. It was amazing getting to win the regular season BIG XII title at Nebraska. It was incredible getting to be a part of bringing two Championships to Bendigo. More recently it was unbelievable getting to represent Australia at the Asian Cup. What I believe truly makes these memories special is the people that I was able to celebrate these events with!

Who is your hero / idol, and why? Have you ever met them?

This is a tough one for me...I would say there isn't one person. My family inspires me to do what I do and have been a constant throughout my life and have been there to support me through the highs and lows. If you ask me you can't ask for better heroes than that!

Who has been the most influential person or people in your career and why?

There are so many people who have played a role in getting me to where I am today. My youth coaches (John Wood, Carl Waters), high school coaches (Tracey Adams, John Schroeder), College Coaches (Connie Yori, Tory Verdi, Sunny Smallwood), Chelsea Aubry (College Teammate, Bendigo Spirit Teammate, the reason why I went to Nebraska AND came to Australia in the first place!) All of these people and many more helped build me into the player and person I am today. Without their guidance there is no doubt in my mind I would wouldn't being doing what I am today.

Do you have any hobbies away from your sport?

I love playing with my dogs (Gus and Kobi). I love being outside, hiking, mountain biking, camping Going out for a nice coffee

What is your sporting ambition?

To leave a legacy of being a hard worker and great teammate.
