Kristina Krstic

Kristina Krstic (lawn bowls) triumphed with Ellen Ryan in the women’s pairs in an extra-end gold-medal thriller at her Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham. She was also part of the women’s fours that finished 9th. Encouraged by her father Joe, Kristina began playing the sport when she was nine, winning the Australian junior singles titles in 2011 and 2012. In 2012, she also claimed silver in the Australian Open pairs and was named Australian Junior Bowler of the Year. Success at junior World Cups followed in 2014 and 2015. She also won the world under-25 singles world title in 2015 and made her Australian debut later that same year. Kristina plays out of the Manning Memorial Bowls Club in Perth. Outside the sport, she is a qualified chiropractor after graduating from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic.
