Liam Park

Liam Park (judo) capped off Australia’s Commonwealth Games campaign by winning bronze in the men’s over 100kg. He was one of 10 debutants on Australia’s 11-strong judo team in Birmingham. Liam enjoyed Oceania success in 2015, gaining a spot at the 2015 Junior World Championships, before going on to win an Australian senior title in 2017 and bronze at the Taipei Open later that year. He has competed on three continents, gaining minor medals at a number of international tournaments and has high hopes for Birmingham. Liam, who is studying for a Bachelor of Business at Victoria University, also represented Australia at the 2019 World University Games. Park trains out CombatAus National Performance Centre in Melbourne, loves dogs and has a part-time job as a dog walker.
