Madeleine Bollinger
Madeline Barnett (Bollinger) (diving) competed in two Commonwealth Games, 1970 in Edinburgh and 1974 in Christchurch, where she won a bronze medal in the 10m highboard. Barnett also dived for Australia in the 1976 Olympic Games. Returning to competition in masters diving events, Barnett competed well into her 60’s. Madeline’s son, Steven Barnett won Olympic bronze in Athens in 2004 in synchronised springboard with Robert Newberry, and bronze in the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester in the 1m springboard.
