Madonna Blyth

Madonna Blyth (hockey) is one of Australia’s greatest ever hockey players and is a three-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist. Blyth made her international debut as an 18-year-old at the 2004 Champions Trophy, before going on to represent Australia at the Athens 2004 Olympics. The Queenslander was instrumental in the Hockeyroos claiming the gold medal at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. Made captain of the national side in 2009, Blyth led the Hockeyroos to gold medals at the Delhi 2010 and Glasgow 2014. A three-time Olympian, Madonna retired following the Rio 2016 Games, and after 342 international matches retired as Australia’s most capped Hockeyroo.
