Mikayla competes in swimming and currently represents Bond Swimming, having started when she was 8 years old. Her recent achievements include winning 3 gold and 1 silver at the National Age Swimming Championships, and 3 gold and 2 silver at the State Age Championships. Mikayla was incredibly successful at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, medalling in all seven of her events. She took out the 100m and 200m butterfly events as well as playing a key role as the third-leg swimmer in the mixed 4x200m freestyle relay team that went on to win gold. Alongside her three golds, Mikayla won four bronze medals in both individual and team events.  Her future aspirations include making a Senior Australian Team, being selected to the Olympic Games and winning a gold medal.
