Miles Scotson

Miles Scotson (cycling) will feature in his second Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, after competing on the track on the Gold Coast four years ago. Scotson, who attended Trinity College in Gawler, had a stellar junior career winning the junior team pursuit world title in 2012 before claiming both the under-23 road race and time trial at the Australian national titles in 2015. He was part of the Australian team that won the senior world title in the team pursuit in 2014 and 2016, the latter riding alongside his younger brother Callum, before claiming the senior national road race in 2017. Scotson joined the world tour team BMC Racing in 2018 and made the first of three appearances in the Giro d’Italia the following year. He switched to the French team Groupama-FDJ in 2021 and made his debut in the Tour de France where withdrew on stage 11 due to illness. Scotson rode the Tour Down Under in 2015 for the Uni-SA Australian team alongside road race gold medallist from the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Steele van Hoff.
