Mitchell competes in beach volleyball and currently represents the Australian Volleyball Academy, having started when he was 5 years old. His most recent achievements include qualifying for the main draw of the World Tour and winning a bronze medal for the Australian Tour, with his future aspirations including winning a World Tour event and competing at the Olympic Games. Selected for the 2023 Trinbago Commonwealth Youth Games, he paired with Jett Rocker-Graham to finish fifth.
