Mostafa Rezaeifar (wrestling) is the most experienced member of Australia’s wrestling team in Birmingham. He started wrestling while growing up in Iran and what began as a skill to defend himself soon became a sporting passion. After winning the Australian Olympic selection event in February 2021, Rezaeifar went to the Africa and Oceania Olympic qualifier in Tunisia where he finished 5^th in the 65kg, narrowly missing a spot at the Tokyo Games. Known as ‘Coach Mosti’ at the UFC Gym in Parramatta where he works as a trainer, he was runner-up in the 65kg at the Australian championships in May.
