Nathan Ephraums

Nathan Ephraums (hockey) was the youngest member of all-conquering Kookaburras at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games at just 23 where he bagged six goals to be the team’s second-highest scorer at the tournament.

‘Nephy’s’ hockey skills were apparent when he was selected for the firsts hockey team at Haileybury College in Melbourne when he was in year 7 – making him the youngest on the team by quite a gap. In the under-13 and under-15 age groups, the young striker was playing in both indoor and outdoor Victorian teams. He was included in the Australian Futures squad in 2015 before moving on to the Australian under-21 team in 2017 and 2018. He made his Kookaburras debut against Great Britain in Sydney in February 2020.

Nathan is studying social work at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
