Nicola Carey (T20 cricket) is an all-rounder and one of Australia’s most experienced T20 players with 99 games in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) as well as over 20 internationals in both the one-day and T20 formats. Carey, who bowls right arm medium but bats left-handed, made her one-day international debut against India in March 2018 and her T20 debut later that same month against England. Until 2019, she played for NSW and the Sydney Thunder in the WBBL, but then moved to Tasmania where she now plays for the Hobart Hurricanes.  She was also part of Australia’s squad that claimed the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Carey grew up in the Sydney inner southwest suburb of Campsie and has two older brothers and an older sister.
