Nicola Carey (T20 cricket) is one of the most experienced members of the national team, helping Australia win the T20 World Cup in 2020 and both the 50-over World Cup and Commonwealth Games gold in 2022.

The Sydney-born all-rounder, who bowls right arm medium but bats left-handed, made her debut for NSW shortly before her 18th birthday in 2010 but had to wait until the 2018 tour of India to break into the Australian XI, unlucky to miss the 2012 and 2016 T20 World Cups due to injury.

Carey played for NSW and the Sydney Thunder in the Womenโ€™s Big Bash League (WBBL) until 2019, but now calls Tasmania home where she plays for the Hobart Hurricanes.
